Here's the house is with it fully painted and shuttered

The house and garage are both painted, Mike Kennedy and his crew did a great job, in only two days. Michael thinks it was well worth the money to have them do it. Just the pergola has to be painter. The shapes of all the gardens have to be completely and planted before the new lawn is laid this Fall. It seems like so much to do and so little time.

I'm still trying to work on this blog and seeing how I can get information from other to add to this, so that it will be more interesting to a larger audience.

A perfect summer day

Here's a shot of the side garden I took this morning before work.

Sunny Monday

It rained really hard last night and this morning it was foggy, I could hear the fog horn in the distance and the road was flooded in front of the house. The road always floods when it rains, there isn't any where for the water to go, we have just gotten use it. The water is only a few inches deep.
Watched the weather and it was suppose to clear and be a great day. We didn't think the painters were going to show since it rained last night. Michael got a call from Mike Kennedy the painter and he was ready to start. It was sunny and dry on the Cape. Told him where the keys and the paint were. When we took the turn to our road we say the house and it looked great. The guys were moving along just great and were working on the front of the house. I can't get over how nice it looks with the fresh yellow paint. Mike will put the green shutters up and do a couple of other things we need to have done.
I worked out in the garden between the house and two car garage, it's runs next to the path front to back. Were do the weeds come from??? The white lilies in the picture are in the garden I was working in and are five feet tall and have a great scent.
I told Mike Kennedy he couldlet the cat out when they come in the morning, I'm sure Pumpkin Pie will love being out all day.

We made it to the beach today, even though it was 5:00 PM, it was still nice to get there and just relax, look at the water and get caught up with the past week apart.

Well, I never made it to Country Gardens as I wanted to, I went instead to K-Mart, they had great deals on plants. I know K-Mart, but the one in Hyannis has a great selection of plants in their garden section. I got 3 Russian Sage for $5.99 each, better than Counrty Garden at $16.99 each, also got some great looking pink plants, not sure of their name so I have to look around for their name. Thought I'd add the Russian Sage, the pink plants and the new dark yellow cone flowers (Harvest Moon) to the new front garden for some late summer color. The lilies are almost past and there will only be the Black Eyed Susans, WhitenBecky's, and marigolds so the added color will make all the difference.

Michael is Home

I was sleeping last night when Michael came home around 2:30AM. Not sure what I said to him, gave him a kiss ask where pumpkin was, not sure what he said but it must have been a good answer, fell right back to sleep.
I woke up at 8:45 and we talked for a couple of minutes before Michael fell back to sleep, ahhhh the power of keeping an audience attention. Just reverse of last when he came home .
I needed to get to the Post Office this morning after 10:00, that's when the window opens up. I had a yellow card in my PO Box yesterday afternoon, the PO window closed at 4:30. It has to be my bank checks, can believe I ran out of them and had to go to the bank, talked Erin, the manager of Rockland Trust here in Sandwich, she put a rush on them. By the time I'm home from work the post office is closed, 5:00PM M-F. 12 noon on Saturday.
I been thinking that the new garden in front of the house is missing something, so I'm off to Counrty Gardens in Hyannisport today. Think I'll go after the Post Office, it still early and it's a great time to be on the road before everyone is out and about (the beachgoing crowd).
